We haven’t had to wait long to see what the Life is Strange prequel, subtitled Before the Storm, is like. There are now 20 minutes of gameplay footage on YouTube.

From a post on the Life is Strange Tumblr, we’ve also got some big news: there’s actually four new episodes coming with Before the Storm, including a standalone bonus featuring Max Caulfield returning as the protagonist.

We don’t have a list of the best teen angst games, but we have collated the best upcoming PC games for you.

Fitting the Life is Strange teen angst, the video starts off with a punk-rock gig that Chloe Price – the focus of this prequel series – is attending. You’ll know the venue as being the central hub to all those feelings you had back when you were in school. Or, if you don’t know what I mean, those feelings you’re about to have at a gig in a few years.

This series will revolve around Chloe’s relationship with Rachel Amber. The 20 minutes of footage here give a good idea of how exactly that goes down. It’s not entirely pretty, as no teen friendships are, and the ending of the gameplay footage gets pretty brutal. If you’ve got some feelings about Chloe Price and Rachel Amber, be aware that you’re going into some pretty emotional stuff.

Those of you who buy the Deluxe Edition of Life is Strange: Before the Storm will be getting the fourth episode of this series, titled Farewell, for more Max Caulfield action. It won’t tie in to Before the Storm’s main three episodes, and takes place well before this story, but is apparently “for those who would like to play as [Max] one final time.”

The first episode comes out August 31st. Check out the gameplay trailer above, and the official post describing the fourth episode, Farewell, right here.
