Life is Strange: Before the Storm episode two is out now, without its Denuvo protection

The second episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm is now available. The episode, which is called Brave New World, released yesterday. You can check out the trailer for that below.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a masterclass on how to make prequels.

The new episode seems to build on what we saw in the first episode, while introducing a few new characters, including a very scary-looking tattooed man who Chloe seems to have got on the wrong side of.

Seemingly, however, Square Enix have removed Denuvo’s anti-tamper protection from the game with the release of the second episode. The publisher have regularly used Denuvo in some of their biggest recent releases, including Nier: Automata, Just Cause 3, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Despite their track record, however, Square Enix appear to have stripped Denuvo from the game between the release of its first and second episodes. It’s not unheard of for companies to accidentally release patches without Denuvo, but after a spate of speedy cracks in recent weeks, there’s a possibility that this was a deliberate choice by Square Enix.
