Life is Strange episode 5 release date is a little further out than we’ve become accustomed to

Life is Strange

The fifth part and finale of the series that makes teenagehood the one thing we all wish it could have been – reversible – is due on October 20th. That’ll be nearly three months since the last installment of Life is Strange, and the longest wait we’ve had to suffer so far.

Though Polarized’s dev time isn’t in the ballpark of The Wolf Among Us at its most tardy, Dontnod still feel they owe us an explanation. The episode is close to console submission, meaning they’re “almost code complete”.

“We don’t normally announce a date until we know the game is 100 percent ready,” says producer Luc Baghadoust. “Many things can change in the lead up to release but the team are working really hard to try and hit this date.

“We know the wait may be a bit longer than some of you were hoping for but we want to ensure Episode five is the best it can be. Your tweets, comments and messages have kept us going through this busy stage of development and we can’t thank you enough for your continued support.”

In less mixed news, it’s apparently Max’s birthday today. Happy birthday, fictional friend! May good but gripping things happen to you in episode five.
