4A Games are back with another Metro game, and it’s looking just as beautiful as the previous games in the series. Metro Exodus adds an open world to the monster-killing poisoned wasteland of future-Russia.

As you can see in the video above, the tunnels and nuked wastelands of Metro 2033 and Last Light have been replaced with sunny environments and what looks like a big, open world.
Here’s what 4A have to say about it:
“Flee the shattered ruins of dead Moscow and embark on an epic, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russia in the greatest Metro adventure yet.”
While they don’t confirm an open world, they do mention “vast, non-linear levels” like the one seen in the trailer – so a series of smaller environments, no doubt. You’ll also experience a “thrilling story-line inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky that spans an entire year through spring, summer and autumn to the depths of nuclear winter.”
Expect more details as the week continues. It won’t be out until 2018.
