New York’s Museum of Modern Art will be expanding its video game exhibit to include Minecraft, as well as a set of classic arcade games, including Pong.

The museum has a list of 40 games it would like to eventually display in its exhibition but currently it’s only 14 strong. Joining those 14 are Minecraft, Pong, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Tempest, Yars’ Revenge, and Magnavox Odyssey.

We’ve been following the MOMA exhibit since its launch in December last year. One of the original line up was Eve Online. CCP detailed their single shard MMO via a video of a day in the Eve universe, translating 1.2 terabytes of player data into a representation of their player’s actions.

There’s currently no word on how Minecraft will be represented in the gallery, only that it will make an appearance.

Cheers, Develop.
