Phoenix Wright, Supraland, and Mordhau make Steam’s April bestsellers list

Steam's April top sellers include a lot of surprises

If you’re wondering what’s hot on Steam these days, Valve’s got you covered with a rundown of April’s top twenty sellers. It’s an eclectic list, ranging from tiny indies to classic reissues and major triple-A releases – and a there are a distressing number of games I’ve never even heard of among their number.

This isn’t quite a straight bestsellers list, though. Valve took a look at the games released in April, totalled up the revenue each game generated in the first two weeks after launch, and used those numbers to pick the top twenty. The list also isn’t ranked, so I’m afraid we may never know whether Supraland or Mortal Kombat 11 is a bigger hit.

It should be no surprise to see many of the games on the list – we already knew details like Imperator: Rome sales and that many of these games were hits – but Islanders? MarZ? Driftland: The Magic Revival? The fact that these games have slipped under my radar and still made the list gives me hope that there’s plenty more good stuff among the sea of low-effort Steam games.

Here’s the full list, ordered by release date.
