Mortal Kombat X’s cinematic trailer was a flashy, but ultimately disappointing brawl between mainstays Sub Zero and Scorpion. There was also some god awful music that was entirely out of place. Not a great first impression.
Not to worry! During Sony’s conference last night, Warner Bros and NetherRealm showed off two brawls and a slew of fatalities. Direct your eyes towards the grisly battles below.
That’s more like it. And with two new fighters (new to the games, anyway) to boot. Splendid stuff, gory stuff. One wonders if the inclusion of a fighter who is in fact two fighters is actually cheating. I’m pretty sure Mortal Kombat has referees somewhere.
And of course NetherRealm is keeping the x-ray attacks. They’d be mad not to. It would be like Sniper Elite without the ability to shoot a Nazi in the skull and see it in all its gory detail.
Mortal Kombat X will murder its way onto PC next year.
