Nvidia are offering up a special bundle this Thanksgiving to tempt those thinking of picking up a Shield. The Black Friday Bundle packages up a Shield console with a controller, a set of three Valve games, and access to Nvidia Grid – the graphics giant’s stab at doing ‘Netflix for games’. These additions come free with the 32GB variant of the Shield, but you’ll have to snap it up this weekend if you want in on the savings.

The games package includes Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, and Portal. Then there’s Grid, the streaming service that Nvidia have launched and offers games such as Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands 2, and Psychonauts. The bundle comes with a subscription for up to June 30th 2015, allowing you to play as much as you like of the 20 games in the Grid library for free. The library is due to grow too, with new games hopefully turning up each week.

Alongside the games and Grid subscription comes a Shield controller too, making it quite an attractive package for anyone fancying Steam gaming without being stuck to one desk or sofa. It’s a solid starter pack for just the cost of the Shield alone: £299.

The deal will be available from 11.59pm on Friday 28th November for Black Friday.
