Oddworld Inhabitants have revealed the first image to Oddworld: Soulstorm, an upcoming Mudokon adventure set to release this autumn. Not much is known about the game, but a recent ARG has revealed the very first image, as you can see above.

The document accompanying the image sheds some light on the game’s plot, which involves a pro Mudokon organisation called ‘Spirit of 1029’, a trapped Mudokon called Ed, and a new existential threat for the gangly, psychic beings.
This was all pieced together in an ARG containing deciphered messages and image fragments.
“Whatever might be happening to the Mudokons, a few things are clear,” says the update on the Oddworld site. “They are not happy. They are not safe. They are oppressed.
“Now, Spirit of 1029 has made contact again and they’re saying that there’s more evidence of these atrocities yet to see. We need your help to find the truth.”
