Overwatch’s latest event, Uprising, was prematurely shut down earlier today in a mistake by publishers Blizzard. If you were upset to find the event offline several hours earlier than expected, then jump back in now – Blizzard have reversed their error and the event is once again enabled.

The news comes via a post on the Overwatch forums by community manager Stephanie ‘Lylirra’ Johnson. Lylirra clarifies that the newdeadline for Uprising is 17:00 Pacific time tonight, May 2 (in BST, that’s 01:00 in the morning of May 3). This is a slight extension on its original deadline of May 1.
The mission ain't over yet! We're re-enabling Overwatch Uprising across all platforms until 5/2 at 5pm PDT: https://t.co/5pfDEuBCha pic.twitter.com/u4RMiSVQ4O

When Lylirra posted, Blizzard had only re-enabled Uprising loot boxes and the option to purchase their cosmetics with credits, but we jumped into a game just now and can confirm the PvE King’s Row brawl is also back online.
So the event is now fully functional again, and will be for another 13-and-a-bit hours. Go get those Omnics.
