Atlus’s annual survey is out, and among the questions they’re asking players is what platforms you want to see upcoming games on. Maybe you want to see the next Etrian Odyssey on Switch. Maybe you want a Persona fighting game on mobile. Perhaps a Shin Megami Tensei on mobile. Or maybe – let’s get real here – you want Persona 6 on PC.
Someday we’ll be able to add an Atlus-developed title to our list of upcoming PC games.
The Japanese survey (helpfully translated by DualShockers) asks a big variety of questions about what fans want to see Atlus take on next. For the next Persona title, they ask if they should work on a numbered sequel, a board game, fighting game, online RPG, shooter, strategy RPG, or action RPG.
They ask if you want remakes, including titles from series like Devil Survivor, Etrian Odyssey, Digital Devil Saga, Shin Megami Tensei, or Persona. They want to know if you want to see Atlus spin-offs across any of their series made by other developers. They want to know if you prefer new series, new sequels, spin-offs, remakes, ports, or something non-gaming related like another anime.
If you want a new franchise, Atlus want to know what studio you think should take it on – whether that’s the SMT team, the Persona team, the Etrian Odyssey team, Vanillaware, or Studio Zero.
Across pretty much all of those potential games, they want to know what platform you’re most interested in, whether that’s PlayStation 4, Vita, PSVR, Switch, 3DS, mobile, or – of course – PC. Atlus have expressed some public interest in PC ports in the past, notably when they issued a DMCA takedown against a PS3 emulator that could run Persona 5. “We understand that many Persona fans would love to see a PC version,” they said at the time. “And while we don’t have anything to announce today, we are listening!”
Atlus also want to know if you believe in the Phantom Thieves. They need your support, friends. Help them in this time of need.
