PlayerUnknown’s Battleground’s creators want to let us murder Xbox One players

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

There aren’t any technical limitations in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds that would stop Xbox One and PC players playing together at some point in the future. In fact, it’s something Bluehole want to do, eventually.

Our PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds guide will help you get into the game if you’re just starting out.

“Cross network play between the PC and the console is definitely something we want to do down the road, and we don’t anticipate we’ll have any technical issues with that,” executive producer Chang Han Kim tells VG247.

The only thing holding them back is game balance. Put Xbox One players in a server full of keyboard and mouse users and they will quickly evaporate. It is known.

“If we’re going to allow players to use controllers we need to have the aim assist added in and things like that,” Kim adds. “We’re not going to be supporting it right away, but it’s something we’d like to look into later.”

It was announced during E3 that the game was heading to Xbox One as a console exclusive.
