PES 2018 on PC will be the “highest standard”

Last year was a bad time to be a Pro Evo fan on PC. Instead of getting the same football game as our PS4 and Xbox One-playing pals, we got a port on par with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. It really dropped the ball. Konami are hoping to make up for that missed kick this year, however.

PES 2018 took three years to make, and Konami say that means there will be some big changes as well as a few things that people might not expect. One of those things, it seems, is a quality PC port.

In a Twitch stream tonight, a Konami rep spoke about the Steam version and said it was “the highest standard.” He acknowledged that the PC port was generally built on the last-gen versions, but this time PC will be the best place to play PES.

Konami are saying there’s a massive visual improvement, and they’re working closely with Nvidia to optimise the game for GeForce GPUs.

PES 2018 is out on September 12 in the US and two days later worldwide. Watch this Twitch stream from 18 minutes in to hear it from Konami.
