Rocket League’s Jurassic Park DLC features an enormous T-Rex

Rocket League Jurassic Park DLC

It’s a pretty good time to be a fan of the Jurassic Park franchise. You’ve got a new film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, coming out tomorrow, so foolish bad guys can continue to ignore the wise, wise words of Jeff Goldblum. You’ve got a new game, Jurassic World Evolution, coming out next week, so that you too can ignore the wise, wise words of Jeff Goldblum. And now you’ve got a Jurassic Park crossover with Rocket League to enjoy (Jeff Goldblum yet to be confirmed).

The Jurassic World Car Pack DLC adds the series’s Jeep Wrangler, in both red and blue for the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World tie-ins. The new vehicle even comes with its own wheels and engine audio to help it fully capture the essence of the vehicles from the film.

Gotta go fast? Here are some of the best racing games on PC.

As ever with these crossover DLC packs, there’s plenty more for the avid dino fan to enjoy. The pack also comes with a themed topper as well as three player antennas and player banners.

The real highlight of the pack, however, is the goal explosion. You can check it out in the pack’s trailer (amusingly inspired by Jurassic Park’s iconic Jeep scene), and it involves a T-rex erupting triumphantly from your opponent’s goal every time you score.

If, of course, you’re not inspired by the Rocket League take on the franchise, you’ve not got long to wait for Jurassic World Evolution, which does a great job of splicing together our scientific knowledge of dinosaurs with the more pseudo-scientific approach favoured by the film. And, like I said, you can go watch the film from tomorrow. Dinosaur fans, uh, find a way.
