After surpassing a million sales on Steam, and with constant growth as an eSport, Rocket League is going from strength to strength. That’s probably why the game’s developers, Psyonix, have so confidently announced the next chunk of DLC, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, which is due for release in October.

The DLC brings two “fan-favourite” vehicles from Rocket League’s predecessor, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars: Scarab and Zippy.

There will also be new paint types, decals, rocket boosts, toppers, antennas and wheels. So the content is all aesthetic and completely optional. You can grab it for $3.99 USD, “or its regional equivalent.”

At the same time, two free arenas will be added to the game, whether you buy the DLC or not: Urban Station (Night) and Utopia Coliseum (Dusk). New Country and Community Flags will also be included in the free portion of the update.
