Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 delayed until April 2017

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has been delayed again. It’s not really a big surprise, seeing how snipers are renowned for their patience, but the FPS has been pushed back to April 4, 2017, to allow for better optimisation.

For now, you can always play through our list of the best FPS games.

Previously the sniping game was delayed to January, but the developers need a few more months to calibrate their sights.

“We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans,” said CI Games boss Marek Tymiński. “Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimising the game.

“This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished. I really hope everyone will understand our decision and will wait the extra time to play something we’re excited about, and that will redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole. This is a new beginning for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series.”

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 opts for a sandbox approach to sniping, giving players an open map and letting them assault objectives as they wish. Taking on the role of an American sniper at the Russian border, you can use customised weaponry, drones, sniper rifles, up-close stealth and more to complete your objectives.
