South Park: Fractured but Whole is The Stick of Truth’s superhero sequel

South Park: Fractured but Whole

Ubisoft started its E3 conference by announcing, of all things, South Park: Fractured but Whole, a superhero-themed sequel to the surprisingly excellent South Park: The Stick of Truth. There’s bad news, though: Obsidian won’t be working on this one.

Put the trailer in your brain below.

Players will once again be squeezed into the tiny frame of “New Kid,” the silent protagonist from the first game. Fantasy shenanigans have been swapped out for superhero silliness, as Cartman’s band of heroes, Coon and Friends, tackle the criminal underbelly of Colorado’s weirdest town.

Ubisoft San Francisco, the team behind Rocksmith, are taking the reins of this one. It’s quite the downgrade from RPG veterans Obsidian, but Matt Stone and Trey Parker are at least still involved.
