You can try Star Wars Battlefront 2 in open beta this October

Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta

If you’re on the fence about Star Wars Battlefront II, there’s going to be an open beta this October for you to try it out. You’ll be able to battle across the same location that was playable at E3: Naboo.

Check out our list of upcoming PC games for more future fights.

You’ll take on the role of Republic clone troopers, Separatist battle droids, and iconic champions from across Star Wars history, battling for the royal palace in Naboo: Theed, in Galactic Assault.

On top of that, you’ll also be able to take part in Starfighter Assault, a mode focused on deadly dogfights and the some of the most recognisable spaceships in sci-fi. More details for the mode will be released during Gamescom.

If you’re wondering exactly when you can get stuck in, it depends on whether you’ve pre-ordered or not. Pre-order customers can access the beta from October 4, while everyone else can get in two days later, on October 6. The fun ends at the end of the day on October 9.
