State of Decay 2’s release date is just two weeks away, and the launch of a big new game naturally means you’ve got to prepare your PC to run it. Luckily, Microsoft have revealed the game’s system requirements so you can be properly prepped. You can also start preloading the game today.

    • OS: Windows 10
    • Processor: AMD FX-6300 or Intel i5-2500 @ 2.7GHz
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon HD 7870
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • RAM: 8 GB
    • Video Memory: 2 GB
  • Recommended requirements:
    • OS: Windows 10
    • Processor: AMD FX-8350 or i5 4570 @ 3.2 GHz
    • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 380
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • RAM: 16 GB
    • Video Memory: 4 GB

Of course, the most chagrinning requirement may be the fact that you’ll have to purchase the game through the touchy Windows Store, though the official FAQ does promise info on a Steam release “in the future.” Microsoft’s “Play Anywhere” initiative does mean a single purchase gets you access to both PC and console editions of the game, as well as full cross-play support.

State of Decay 2 is a Game Pass title, much like Sea of Thieves, meaning that you can play it with a $10 monthly subscriptions (or a free trial). You’ll only be able to preload it if you actually purchase the game from the store, however.
