Is Steam too powerful?

It’s that time of the year again. You know, the time of the year when Gabe Newell steals all your money and forces you to spend on games you will probably never have the time to play. It’s the Steam Autumn Sale.

If you’re against spending, check our list of the best free Steam games.

There are big discounts on a bunch of games right now on Steam – just click that link and it’ll take you to the homepage for a gander. If you don’t want to trawl through it all, here are a few of my personal picks:

Additionally, the Steam Awards are making their debut. “For the first time in human history, our Steam Community will decide the nominees for the prestigious Steam Awards,” says the Valve update. “This November you will get to choose nominees for 8 different categories as well as have the opportunity to create your very own award category.”

There are some cool categories, that you can check out at that link. Games that make us cry, games that stand the test of time, games that beg us to play for five more minutes, titles that shock us with a plot twist and more.

Let us know what you’d vote for in each category in the comments, and feel free to help each other out if you see any bargains I missed.
