To celebrate Stellaris taking its first tentative steps among the stars, Paradox have released a brand new trailer giving players a glimpse of a spacebound journey filled with wonder, conflict and political intrigue.

Stellaris casts you as a species of your design, having you guide them through their first steps in space, to galaxy-wide expansion, on to their first contact with an alien civilisation, and beyond.
Once you’ve made contact, you’ll be tasked with making difficult choices while managing multiple diplomatic relationships with varied and strange alien races.
It’s all topped off with randomly created opponents and procedurally generated star systems, so each campaign plays out differently. Have a watch of the launch trailer below:
