The original Syberia came out during the period where we thought adventure games were dead, which is actually now shorter than the period since point-and-clicks definitively came back. Whether or not the genre was truly dead at the time, Syberia was compelling entry in the milieu, with a beautiful clockwork world that was like little else in 2002.
