Even by that title you can tell it’s going to have more personality – in fact, it has it in spades, which its strange and magical characters existing inside a pulpy board game.
If you don’t know what The Amazing Eternals is, quick refresher: it’s first-person hero shooter that introduces collectible cards to the genre. This smashing together of genres is explained away in the game’s story, which goes something like this: there exists an old board game that transports you to another realm and turns you into one of the heroic, adventurous, and sometimes monstrous Eternals. Each Eternal has their own look and powers, which they use as they battle within the multiverse.
You can throw the story aside, though, and concentrate on all the action and progression The Amazing Eternals offers. You see, as well as shooting your online foes, you’re able to customise your abilities with the cards you collect. You create a deck that grans your Eternal different abilities, weapons, spells, and boosts.
