Here’s a beautiful first glimpse at Brian Fargo’s The Bard’s Tale IV

Brian Fargo Bard's Tale IV

Brian Fargo’s return to the much beloved Bard’s Tale series is becoming a reality. The Bard’s Tale IV, which is on Kickstarter right now asking for $1.25 million dollars, has already bagged over $900,000 with over a month still to go.

To celebrate this monumentus achievement, InXile Entertainment have released the first in-engine video, and it looks absolutely stunning.

If this is truly in-engine footage, then we’re certainly off to a good start. This is only a small teaser, but the attention to detail is quite engrossing to say the least.

The Kickstarter is well and truly in full-throttle – even offering free games to those who back early – it’s only just over $350,000 of meeting its goal, which is nothing compared to the almost $1 million dollars it’s raised in only a few days.

For further reading, we sat down with Brian Fargo himself to discuss the revival of a game decades old. “Bard’s Tale is about as close to my heart as you can get,” Fargo recalled. “It really launched me and Interplay onto the scene.”
