Rappel down a wall and shoot your mate in the face – Rainbow Six Siege is free until August 1

Rainbow Six Siege

Rainbow Six Siege – it’s hard to believe it came out less than a year ago. It never really got the traction it deserved, despite being a thoughtful, exciting and tense online shooter. Luckily, more people might fall in love with it now, since everyone can try it for free from now until August 1.

Our list of free PC games is good if you like playing things for absolutely nothing.

The free weekend ends just as Operation Skull Rain, the latest expansion, releases, kicking off the game’s third season.

Season three will see the implementation of the BattleEye anti-cheating system, an improved kill-cam, and fixes for body parts clipping through walls and riot shields. I hate it when that happens in real life.

The Skull Rain DLC itself adds Brazilian Batalhão de Operações Policiais Especiais (BOPE) operators to the line up. There’s also a new Brazilian favela map which is promised to be the most destructible so far.

To try it out for free, just download Rainbow Six Siege on Steam.
