THE HIIIIIIILLS ARE ALIVE, WITH THE SOUND OF ROMANS DYYYYYYYIIIIIIING. WITH SONGS THEY HAVE YELLED FOR Creative Assembly’s Total War game.

Creative Assembly have done the loveliest thing. They invited the ladies from the Horsham Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society to step out of their role as nuns in their production of The Sound of Music and become barbarians for a day for Total War: Rome II. They obliged with what looks like aplomb and gumption. Check out those grimaces. I’d buy a game in which these ladies lobbed spears at people. Wouldn’t you?

The ladies are currently rehearsing for The Sound of Music at The Capitol in Horsham, which is to take place in November. They went over to the Creative Assembly studios on the 29th April to help the team out with the yelling and screaming part of the audio, which is always the part that’s the most fun to do. And I’m guessing the ladies of an operatic society have the best lungs for that sort of thing.

Creative Assembly said, “The HAODS ladies provided us with crowd noise and war cries all around. All of these sounds will be included in the production of Total War: Rome II, set for release in September 2013.” You can read all about it hereon the Creative Assembly website.

Excellent-looking Total War: Rome II was previewed by our own Tim Edwards here, so you can read all about how it’s shaping up.
