Steal the Kremlin and the Pentagon in Tropico 6 – here’s a new trailer

The latest gameplay trailer for dictator sim Tropico 6 has landed, and if it doesn’t get you in the summer mood the nothing will.

The trailer gives us a closer look at the new features coming to Tropico 6. Perhaps the most interesting is the ability to manage extensive archipelagos, or groups of islands, for the first time. You can make use of new means of transport, and infrastructure by building bridges and tunnels between the islands, so that your Tropicans can easily move between them. Other new transport modes in taxis for your tourists, aerial cable cars, and buses.

We also get a sneak peek at some of the world wonders your commandos can steal, including the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and the Kremlin. Soon the island state of Tropico will look like a tropical Las Vegas.

In addition, you will be able to customise your palace, creating the perfect sanctuary to give your election speeches from.

If you don’t like the idea of going it alone, co-operative and competitive multiplayer supports up to four players.

A new version of Tropico 6 will be demoed at GDC in San Francisco, with the full game due for release later this year.
