The Witcher 3 due out February 24th, 2015; get it on the cheap if you have the other games

The Witcher 3 release date

Digital Edition of The Witcher 3 comes with beta keysCD Projekt Red and GOG’s summer conference started with a big announcement: finally a release date for The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. You’ll have Geralt’s latest monster-slaying adventure in your grubby little mitts come February 24th, 2015.

It might seem like a while, but only if you don’t hibernate for the winter to store your body fat like I do. To tide you over, here’s the E3 trailer.

You can pre-order both physical and digital editions. The physical edition will contain a map(!), some stickers and the soundtrack, while the collector’s edition will also contain a striking polystone statue, art book and a wolf medallion, just in case you need to sense magic.

The digital edition, which you can pre-order at GOG.com now, comes with a digital artbook, soundtrack, beta access to The Witcher Adventure Game, a downloadable comic and codes for Neverwinter Nights – which was designed using the same engine as the original Witcher – and its expansions.

Owning either or both of the previous expansions will also entitle you to discounts when you pre-order The Witcher 3. You can save 22 percent if you have either of the games, or 27 percent if you have both.

The Witcher 3 also uses the fair price package. Over here in Blighty, it’s almost $16 higher than in the US, so GOG is giving away game codes that amount to the difference in price.

Lovely stuff.
