Wolfenstein: The Old Blood splatters its system requirements all over the internet

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

It’s very almost time to pull out some assault rifles and start hammering Nazis to the wall again. BJ Blazkwicz is back in Wolfenstein: The New Order, Machine Games’ standalone expansion to The New Order. It releases on May 5th, but do you have the system required to push the gore-splattered shooter?

If you’ve played The New Order, the answer is almost certainly yes, unless your computer has been lobotomised since last year. For those coming to Wolfenstein for the first time though, The Old Blood requires:

  • Intel Core i5 2500 / AMD FX-8320 CPU
  • 4GB RAM
  • Nvidia Geforce GTX560 / AMD Radeon HD 6870 with 1GB VRAM

but Machine Games reccomends you have:

  • Intel Core i7 / AMD FX-8350 CPU
  • 8GB RAM
  • Nvidia Geforce GTX660 / AMD Radeon R9 280 with 3BG VRAM

The game needs 38GB of harddrive space, so you may want to pre-load if you want to play on day one. Pre-loading will start on May 1st, giving you a good few days to get that chunky data down your phone lines. Will you be picking it up? Our Steve has had a play, and had a jolly good time showing those Nazis what for.
