World of Warcraft players have raised more than $1.9 million for Ebola relief efforts. Blizzard sold Argi, a pet goat, to players throughout December with 100% of the proceeds going to the Red Cross.
The adorable Argi was on sale from December 3 – 31 for $10 with Blizzard donating the full amount onto the Red Cross. While Argi adds no buffs or bonuses to players he is ruddy cute. What with his wide opal eyes, blue fur, and little, tiny hooves. Dammit, I want one.
While Ebola’s not making the front pages anymore, the worst of the infection now contained, groups like the Red Cross are still working with victims, both in treating the sick and prociding for the communities hit hardest by the virus.
