It’s been eight long years but World of Warcraft has been rescribed in Italian.
Beyond the straight up news that the translation has occurred I was hoping to create a funny post by translating the press release statements into Italian and back using Google Translate with hilarious consequences, disappointingly the results were pretty similar to the original:
“We hope that our current Italian language World of Warcraft community will have a much more enjoyable experience playing in their mother tongue, and we look forward to welcoming new players to the Italian language for Azeroth as well,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. “One of our long-standing objectives has been to ensure that World of Warcraft is the most accessible to players all over the world, and we look forward to another great step toward that goal in Europe with this new version in Italian of the game.”
