Xbox Game Pass PC gets nine new games, including these bangers

Another wave of new games is hitting shore

Xbox Game Pass was already a fabulous deal on console, and the PC version of the service is quickly becoming just as essential. Today, Microsoft has announced nine more games for the PC edition of Game Pass, bringing us everything from big-time strategy hits to nifty indies and everyone’s favourite agriculture esport.

Paradox bolsters its Game Pass grand strategy offering with Europa Universalis IV, and your options for strategy games will also include Age of Wonders: Planetfall. Metro: Last Light Redux also joins the service if you’re looking for some more action in FPS games, but if you really want the thrills, Farming Simulator 17 is also here.

On the indie side, you’re getting Demon’s Tilt – a modern tribute to the TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine pinball classic, Demon’s Crush. Faeria is a nifty CCG that adds table-building to deck-building, My Friend Pedro is a Devolver-published gun ballet, and Pathologic 2 is modern follow-up to a cult horror classic. Add some slapstick mayhem with Human: Fall Flat, and you’ve got yourself a heck of a set of new games to enjoy.

All these games are listed as ‘coming soon,’ so expect them to drop this month. In the meantime, you can use Game Pass to enjoy the recently-released Halo: Reach for PC.

On top of all that, the PC Game Pass client – currently still technically in beta – is getting some upgrades ‘next week,’ according to the official site. You can now view profiles and achievements through that client, set custom backgrounds, and pull out achievement art for your desktop. This update will also implement the quest system from Xbox, which gives you Microsoft Rewards points for completing particular achievements.
