I don’t speak German but the desription to the trailer below doesn’t seem to be saying Thunder Wolves will be showing a slice of what it takes to be a combat aeronaut, emulating the precision and training required to fly a whirly bird:
“Der Thunder Wolves Trailer ist im Anflug und zeigt euch knallharte Action und massig Explosionen! Wir wünschen viel Spaß beim Anschauen.”*
That was bracing. I liked the bit where the thing blew up.
It’s hard to be petty about the themes of Thunder Wolves when in truth it looks like a lot of fun. It’s clearly a game with few delusions of grandeur, just looking for a way to put more explosions in front of a gamer. If explosions are your want then Thunder Wolves is for you.
While no release date has been announced, BitComposer are saying they’re aiming for Q2 2013 (which is what we’re in now, so expect it out by the end of May).
At least, with this trailer, we know that the adaptation of Tarkovsky’s Stalker is in safe hands.
*At least we now all know the German for ‘hard-hitting action’ and ‘massive explosions’.
