Rise of the Incarnates is shutting down

Rise of the Incarnates, the free-to-play 2v2 fighter, only launched on Steam on July, but publisher Bandai Namco is already pulling the plug. Servers will say up until December 15th, after which it will be closed for good.

“Thank you for using “RISE OF INCARNATES,” reads the surprisingly perfunctory cancellation announcement.”We must regretfully inform all users of the closure of “RISE OF INCARNATES.” We offer our sincere thanks to everyone who has supported this game . We will be keeping the servers open until December 15, 2015, so please continue to enjoy “RISE OF INCARNATES” until the very end.”

From today, players will no longer be able to purchase premium currency, though those who already have some can spend it.

As the game winds down, every character will be free, and items in the cash shop will be greatly reduced in price.

Did any of you lovely folks take it for a spin?

Cheers, Eurogamer.
