A new trailer for Star Wars Battlefront shown last night at Sony’s Paris Games Week conference gives us a look at recently unveiled hero and villain characters Han Solo, Princess Leia and Boba Fett in action across a number of maps. There was plenty of the usual as well: loads of colourful explosions, people shouting “rebel scum”, and lots of vehicles flying perilously close to the camera from a variety of different angles.

While there’s not much there in terms of the new characters’ combat abilities, we do get a glimpse at some of the ridiculous match-ups that’ll occur during the average online battle, including one sublimely silly face off between Darth Vader and Han Solo. Princess Leia is seen fighting Boba Fett, while Luke and Emperor Palps get to go toe to toe at the end, Return of the Jedi style.

This latest trailer clearly has fans of the films in mind with many of its scenes paying homage to classic moments from the franchise, be it tumbling AT-ATs, Boba Fett narrowly avoiding the Sarlacc Pit, and treetop fighting on Endor. Apart from what the new characters look like on the battlefield, we still don’t know much more about their abilities save for what was revealed last week.
