Borderlands 3 launched back in September after years of anticipation, but the rigours of modern game development don’t stop on a release date. Gearbox’s loot shooter – you can’t make me say ‘looter shooter,’ don’t try – has already gotten a load of free content updates, and now it’s time for the first big DLC expansion. The Handsome Jackpot release date is here.
More precisely, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot is now live. You’ll already have it as part of the season pass, or you can pick up the pack individually for $14.99 / £11.99. On the off chance you haven’t yet played through Borderlands 3 yet, you’ll need to finish episode five to reach Sanctuary III before you can get into the DLC.
The DLC adds a new casino galaxy location, a host of Moxxi-led campaign missions, the expected selection of new side quests and Crew Challenges, and – of course – a whole bunch of new gear and new enemies to use it on.
