Borderlands porn searches are up 13,000% this week

Rhys' mustache is just too much for people, apparently

Yes, fans of looting and shooting are thirsty for Borderlands porn. Now that Gearbox’s latest entry in the series is upon us, porn searches around the series have surged by 12,905%. Yes, that’s not a typo – Borderlands 3 has inspired a nearly thirteen-thousand percent increase in interest in related porn. (You won’t find any Borderlands 3 shift codes that way, friends.)

That makes Borderlands the biggest gaming porn search going right now – five times bigger than Fortnite and three times bigger than Overwatch, according to data from Pornhub Insights. (That link is safe for work, but do mind your browser history.) The data covers the last five days – ever since the Borderlands 3 release date on September 13 – and accounts for over one million individual Borderlands searches.

The most popular search was ‘borderlands 3,’ followed – probably unsurprisingly – by ‘borderlands moxxi.’ The remainder of the search term list is probably what you’d expect, too. ‘Hentai,’ ‘futa,’ ‘cosplay,’ ‘sfm,’ and a variety of Borderlands character names – including Tiny Tina, which is the one thing I’ll call out here as being gross and terrible. She’s 13, guys, come on.

And, of course, it is predominantly ‘guys’ doing these searches. Men are 84% more likely to search for Borderlands porn, and the 18-24 demo is 119% more likely than other age groups to do those searches.

It’s 2019, and people are horny. That’s no surprise, but now we all have specific numbers detailing exactly how horny they are for Borderlands. Sex is science, after all.
