Conqueror’s Blade has been massing armies for its free-to-play launch over the past year, and the march has just passed a major milestone – the game is now in open beta. After all the previous siege tests and open weekends, you can now download and play the whole thing via Steam or the publisher’s own launcher.
If you’re new to Conqueror’s Blade, it’s a war-focused MMO where you choose your general from one of ten classes based on the weapon they wield. Then you build armies from a variety of historical eras and cultures and take your anachronistic forces into battle against AI and players alike.
The open beta includes the Territory Wars feature, which lets you group up with friends to fight against others and claim your own slice of land. You’ll also be able to get into the 30-player tactical PvP Siege battles, or head out into the open world to directly seize land, set up trade routes, and expand your empire’s reach.
You can get an overview of what’s in store through the trailer below.

The developers are naturally soliciting feedback during the open beta, so there’s some distance to go before Conqueror’s Blade reaches full release.
