A new Dark Souls 3 trailer has been released and it wants to tell you what the true colour of darkness is. Our web guy reckons it’s #000000. Spoilers, obviously.
Dark Souls is in our list of the best RPGs on PC, because of course it bloody is.
Backed by an ethereal version ofCyndi Lauper’s True Colours, the latest Dark Souls 3 trailer shows us a bigger glimpse of the Kingdom of Lothric and some of the horrible beasties contained within.
One of the first thing you’ll notice is that there are corpses absolutely everywhere, hanging from archways and strutting out of buildings like meaty decorations. But the horrors of those corpses are nothing compared to the demon and undead that wander its lands.
The creature design is sufficiently repulsive. With series creator Hidetaka Miyakazi back to oversee the game, we wouldn’t expect any less, really. The environments are lovely, in a grim, twisted way, too – showing us sun-bleached battlements, grand halls and blackened forests. It’s definitely looking like Dark Souls.
