Dirty Bomb is Splash Damage’s new shooter, and that’s reason enough to be excited. They’re the devs behind such mega hits as Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and so certainly know what it takes to make a good shooter. Dirty Bomb certainly lives up to their heritage, being a pacy, colourful five-a-side shooter set in the best boroughs of the UK’s fanciest city: London.
The game will be free-to-play, but right now its Beta is only open to paying customers on Steam. But why pay, when we can give you an access code right here?
Our Steve got his hands on Dirty Bomb recently and found it an exceptionally tightly balanced shooter with some great gunplay. “ It’s fast and hard, it’s PC exclusive, it’s free-to-play-but-not-in-a-shit-way, it features perhaps the best designed multiplayer maps outside of Team Fortress 2, and it stars a roster of compellingly skilled and remarkably varied characters,” he said. My-oh-my, that’s some praise indeed. Can you afford to not play Dirty Bomb? If you’ve yet to be convinced, take a wee look at this video showing off the game’s grenadier class: Nader.
