Ubisoft revealed this new Exotic ahead of the release of Warlords of New York, but did not show players how to unlock it or what all of its talents are. The Division 2 expansion may only have just launched, but players are already at the new level cap of 40 and grinding bounties, missions, and pretty much anything on the map in the hopes of a shiny new Exotic dropping.
Incredibly, one player has already managed to get the Division 2 Lady Death Exotic SMG, giving us our first glance at the SMG’s talents, damage stats, mods, description, and – more importantly – where you have a chance of finding it.
While it’s likely that you can grab this Exotic from a number of Warlords of New York areas, we finally know at least one means of getting to drop, so it’s only a matter of time until the community has it down to a fine art. The Lady Death Exotic SMG comes with the following description:
“Can’t take our freedom? That’s a lie. Your freedom can always be taken. The only thing standing between you and tyranny is the barrel of your gun.”

Obviously you can roll this at a range of stats but this player’s Lady Death dropped at level 40 with 67.5K total damage, 900 RPM, and a mag size of 32.

These are the unique traits that make Exotics the most sought after guns in The Division 2.
Breathe Free
- When moving, gain 4 stacks per second, or 8 stacks if sprinting, up to 40 stacks total.
- Each round fired consumes a stack, amplifying damage by 60%.
- Kills grant +20% movement speed for 10s.
Unlike the bulk of Division 2 Exotic weapons, this SMG only has one talent, but it’s a pretty significant one. The developers have said they’re looking to simplify Exotics, so this is a great example of what they meant by this.
How to get the Division 2 Lady Death Exotic SMG
The first recorded instance of this Exotic dropping was from a pair of named Rikers bosses on a bounty mission. The pair are called Adam and Eve, but typically this means there is a chance that the Lady Death will drop from any named Rikers boss in the Warlords of New York expansion.
