Dota 2 Ten Million Players

Dota 2 is Valve’s most popular game right now, and probably will be for a long time yet. In the last month, the game has clocked over 10,123,495 (so close to being sequential) unique players, and rising.

Although it’s not really a surprise is it – Dota 2 does have a habit of outnumbering all the games in Steam’s top 100 most played, combined.

On the horizon for Dota 2, is a mysterious “engine update” that’s been in the works since last year; Valve even postponed and/or canceled in-game events and festivals to prioritise it. All leaks and rumours point to one exciting prospect: Dota 2 will be the first game to embrace the likes of Valve’s new engine: Source 2.

If you’re a beginner to Dota 2, or maybe you’re having a hard time, why not bury your head in my best heroes for Dota 2 beginners.
