Pining for Monster Hunter and Shadow of the Colossus? Extinction now has a release date

Extinction

Iron Galaxy have revealed the April 10 release date for Extinction, their monster-hunting multiplayer game. As well as telling us when we can play, the developer has also spilled the details on when pre-orders are going live and how much the different editions of the games will be.

Be prepared. Here’s how to kill an armoured giant in Extinction.

Iron Galaxy announced the April 10 release date in a press release alongside the news that the standard edition available for $59.99 (£54.99) and the deluxe edition, which includes the Days of Dolorum season pass, available for $69.99 (£64.00). The Days of Dolorum season pass will also be available to purchase individually for $14.99 (£12.99).

First showcased at E3 last year, in Extinction players take on the role of Avil, the last of a legendary group of warriors known as Sentinels. The Sentinels were the only warriors capable of defeating the Ravenii -150-feet tall ogres intent on destroying the human race. As Avil is the last to remain, it’s up to him to save the human race. Sound familiar? The ogre-battling title has been compared to much-loved manga series Attack on Titan more than once.
