Fallout 76 may get 12-vs-12 deathmatches

Fallout 76 may get a 12-on-12 team deathmatch mode. That’s according to Jeff Gardiner, project lead at developer Bethesda. Gardiner was speaking with Noclip’s Danny O’Dwyer about the challenge of designing an endgame and catering to player parties of different sizes:

“We wanted to make it fun for a single player. We wanted to make it fun for teams… our team limit right now is four, so we wanted to make it fun for co-op, four-person gameplay. And we wanted to make it fun for bigger, 12-on-12 deathmatches. So we’re trying to jam it all in and hope it all works out.”

It sounds like these deathmatches are still in the offing – O’Dwyer adds that the team deathmatch mode “should help” to offer a compelling endgame, in addition to a “cyclical nuclear war.” Click here to watch for yourself.
