Ever since Final Fantasy VII first launched on PlayStation back in 1997, one question has lingered in the minds of fans: Aerith or Tifa? Now we can definitively set the issue to rest with science – by which I mean ‘pornography’. The folks at PornHub got in touch with us to find out if we’d be interested in the latest data on Final Fantasy 7 porn searches, and because you people keep reading these articles, we said yes.
The internet at large is far hornier for Tifa than Aerith, according to data on the PornHub Insights blog (that’s a mostly safe-for-work link, especially now that you’re probably working from home). Searches for ‘tifa final fantasy hentai’ and ‘final fantasy tifa’ both hit the rankings ahead of ‘final fantasy aerith’.
FF7’s best girls (we didn’t say ‘waifu’ in the 90s and were better for it) are the top character searches in the data, followed distantly by Lightning, Yuna, and Lulu. Jessie comes in after that – likely enjoying new popularity as a memetic horndog in the FF7 Remake – just ahead of Cindy, whose default outfit in FFXV really renders pornography redundant. Cloud is the only male character who made the list of top searches.
Men are 58% more likely than women to search for FF porn, and PlayStation browser users are 189% more likely to seek it out than Xbox users. The truest of console exclusives.
