Square Enix have released the opening cinematic for the quick approaching expansion to Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. The opening movie begins with the events of the final main scenario story of the A Realm Reborn quest line, so if you’ve not finished it and want to avoid spoilers, you might want to give it a miss.
Patch 2.55 concludes the A Realm Reborn story, which went live last week. With that chapter put to bed, the story is open to the events of Heavensward, which will launch on June 23rd for PC and Mac.
For those who want a nostalgia trip, Square Enix also released an extended version of the opening cinematic for A Realm Reborn. It’s probably one of the best CG scenes I’ve witnessed in an MMO, so it’s a must watch.
