A new Fortnite esports tournament is coming – but this one’s taking place at LAN centers worldwide. The ggCircuit Winter WAN Tournament is set for next month, and offers a $25,000 prize pool to participants in solo and duo matches on dedicated servers.
The tournament begins on January 10 with a set of warm-up matches, and will offer three events – two solos and one duo – spread across the next three days before concluding on January 13. Top qualifiers in preliminary matches will move on to a set of championship games where they’ll be able to compete for a share of that prize pool. Everyone will have multiple chances to qualify, and multiple championship matches in which to earn a piece of the prizes.
You can find full details on entry at the official site, as well as a list of participating locations. LAN centers across Europe, North and South America, and Oceanic regions are all able to participate. If you’ve got a local center that isn’t on the list of participants, organising company ggCircuit says there’s still time to register for the event.
So if you want a chance to put your Fortnite skills to the test with cash on the line, this is it – and you’ve got a little under a month to make sure your skills are up to the task.
