Microsoft announced the freebie at ChinaJoy 2017. If you’ve got either Horizon 3 or Final Fantasy XV by August 1, you’ll get access to the car.
Driving in Final Fantasy XV, even in manual mode, isn’t very hands-on (at least until you upgrade it), though it is very relaxing. In Forza Horizon 3, hopefully the Regalia will handle a bit differently - the team have had free rein to determine how the car performs, while Square Enix provided data and images based on the original.
Microsoft describes it as a cruiser’s car. It’s a bit of a beast at 21-feet long and seven feet wide, with a 7.2 litre supercharged V12 engine - the sort of thing that might dominate an Outback road.
