Retail listings suggest Injustice 2 is on the way to PC

Injustice 2 came to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier this year, but the DC-branded fighting game pointedly did not release on PC. That may be changing soon if a recently uncovered set of retailer listings are any indication.

Check out titles that have actually been announced with our list of upcoming PC games.

Listings for a PC version of Injustice 2 on Amazon France and fellow European retailer Game Mania were dug up by Wccftech, indicating that the port might be on after all. These listings are no guarantee of the game’s existence, but given that they’re coming from two unrelated storefronts, the odds are good that there’s something here.

NetherRealm’s most recent fighting game got a solid response from fans and critics on consoles, so it’s good to see another of their titles get the PC treatment. Mortal Kombat X got a PC port day-and-date with the console versions, but it launched in poor condition and a hasty patch ended up ripping the spine out of many players’ save files. Eventually, by the release of the DLC-inclusive Mortal Kombat XL, everything seems to have been worked out.

Publishers Warner Bros. have generally had a rough time putting their flagship titles on PC, with Batman: Arkham Knight in particular serving as a high-profile mess. I’m not sure why Warner keeps having such a rough go with their PC ports, but maybe it’s a good thing if they’re taking their time with Injustice 2.
