League of Legends patch 9.15 – Project 2019

League of Legends patch 9.15 arrives on the PBE this week, but we've got an early look at the skins making their way to the game

League of Legends patch 9.15 hits the PBE very soon, but Riot has already offered a look at what we should expect from the new update. While League of Legends patch 9.14 was a bit of a whopper, design director Andrei ‘Meddler’ Van Roon said that the next four patches (that’s 9.15-9.18) will be “smaller patches, focused on stability and lower scope balance work.” That’s in preparation for Worlds, which will take place later this year, on patch 9.19.

Balance changes for this update are, therefore, likely to be pretty small. As the changes haven’t hit the PBE just yet, I’m largely speculating here, but I’d say relatively safe bets are the return of Wukong and Malphite, who have been undergoing significant testing over the last few patch cycles.

When it comes to skins, however, Riot already has plenty to show off. Patch 9.15 heralds the return of the Project skin line, with a legendary Pyke skin leading the charge. As a Jinx main, however, I know where my Riot Points will be going…

League of legends patch 9.15 release date and downtime

We don’t have an exact release date for League of Legends patch 9.14, but updates tend to release every two weeks. With that in mind, expect the new patch to arrive on Wednesday, July 31.
